Estimation, measuring and subtraction - this activity has it all! Your class will choose an object, estimate the length, measure the correct length and then see how close their estimation is by working out the difference. This activity can be differentiated by asking students to use different units of measurement as well as measuring and estimating to a whole number, or one or two decimal places.
